What of Joseph? We reverence Mary for her role in the Savior's life. The scriptures are limited in what they tell us of her and yet they tell us she "pondered on these things" and is mentioned in moments of His life. We know she was of great quality for she was chosen to bare a son. The scriptures tell us even less of Joseph. Are we not given it because he was of no consequence? Or are we not given much out of sacred reverence for him also? He must have been of great character also for he showed much faith in accepting the responsibility of raising the Son of God. As parents we hope that we can see and nurture the greatness within each of our children. He knew from the beginning the greatness that Son would have. It must have been so humbling. This makes me ponder.
